R&R (Respite and Recreation) Weekends at Wildwood provide essential social-emotional learning and tech-free outdoor recreation for Jackson County, MO youth in grades 4-7. Bus transportation and meals are provided.
Campers will get to participate in fun camp activities and build supportive relationships with peers and adults–plus enjoy unique themed fall and winter activities and 150 acres of beautiful camp setting to explore!
Programs will run Friday through Sunday with a conveniently located Jackson County bus stop location. Youth should be successful in a 1:6 adult-to-child ratio and must be eligible for state funded respite care (foster, kinship, etc.) in order to participate.

The evening includes food, drinks, camp-inspired games, and the opportunity to provide Wildwood camp scholarships for Kansas City kids.
Each summer, approximately 75% of campers need a scholarship to attend camp. Your support, along with an incredible group of likeminded Kansas Citians and matching funds from Camps for Kids, meets this need.
Leadership Camp is a multi-year program designed to meet the needs and interests of high schoolers who want to become camp counselors or plan for a career in education and leadership.

Overnight Camp is a M-F five-day, four-night camp filled with outdoor activities like swimming, fishing, Makerspace exploration, arts, the giant swing, archery, and exploring nature for kids entering grades 3-8.
Campers sleep in cabins by gender and age-level. Each cabin is staffed by a team of adult camp counselors who stay with the group all week. Campers and staff eat meals together in the dining hall and sing songs around the campfire under the stars.
Wildwood Day Camp will provides outdoor learning and relationship-building for campers entering grades 1-5 who want all the fun of camp but still want to sleep in their own beds!
Day Campers will swim daily, enjoy hiking and nature activities, and try their hand at outdoor cooking, camp skills, age-appropriate target sports, fishing, arts and maker space programs. Read more
