Working as a camp staff is an incredible way to spend the summer. We offer leadership skills, trainings and certifications (like CPR and Trauma-Informed Care), and even college credit.
Now is your chance! We’re currently hiring summer camp staff. Earn up to $150/day, depending on experience, and spend part of your summer living at camp!
1. Working at camp is a Real Job.
Don’t let folks tell you that working at camp isn’t a “real job.” While you’re spending the day with campers, you’re gaining incredibly important skills that look good on resumes.
And you have a few advantages (like free room and board) that other “real jobs” or internships might lack.
The American Camp Association has highlighted skills you’ll gain as a staff member in the linked article below.
2. Cultivate Skills Employers Want
Next, being employed as camp staff cultivates skills that employers look for. Check out the skills you can boast to potential employers in the ACA handouts below:
3. It’s Work that Matters
Finally, working at camp is fun, unique, and allows you to make a positive impact on campers’ lives. As camp staff, stories of specific campers live on with us for years to come, and vice versa.
Being a member of camp staff makes a big difference for kids. It means teaching a kid new skills, helping them find bravery, showing them that there are adults in the world who care about them.
Kids will remember you, your nickname (like Dan Dan the Slingshot Man), and how kind, cool, or funny you were.
