Campers stay busy at Wildwood, and have ample opportunity to participate in activities they enjoy and try out new ones.
Many camp activities are offered in choice format. During the session, campers have the opportunity to choose from Wildwood’s activities for each activity time.
Some of our most popular and unique activities include working as a team on the adventure challenge course (low ropes), experiencing the high ropes, engaging in STEM exploration activities, and building bio-inspired designs in the Makerspace.
We also offer swimming, fishing, basketball, archery, canoeing, crafts, improv, survival hikes, and field games. The activities are endless, and the camp staff enjoy coming up with new activities throughout the summer.

FAQs
My camper can't swim. Can they still come to camp? Yes! We evaluate each camper’s swimming ability and direct them to activities as appropriate to their abilities. All participants in canoeing and kayaking wear life jackets. How do you evaluate campers' swimming ability? On the first day of camp, campers have the option to complete a swimming skills test. To complete the swim test, they must be able to swim the length of the pool without touching the bottom or sides, and tread water for 1 minute. Campers must successfully complete the swim test to enter the deep end of the pool. What if my camper is scared to try something? Wildwood staff use a “challenge of choice” philosophy. Staff support campers in choosing how to participate, especially in high ropes activities. If you have a specific concern, please reach out to our camp director at office@wildwoodctr.org. Will my camper get to tie-dye? Yes! We offer every camper a Wildwood shirt to tie-dye and bring home. Shirts are included in the cost of camp.
