Greg Haflich 2020

$225 of $1,000 raised

Hi Facebook friends.

I hope all of you are getting through this Covid Crazy. I know that some of you, or your family members, are not. I’m so sorry for that, and I hope we will all be living in a safer world sometime soon.

I’ve been serving on the Board of Directors for the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center for a few years now. The pandemic closed Wildwood this summer.  We’ve financially weathered the storm and we’re looking forward, as all of us are, to 2021.

Why do I support Wildwood?

Wildwood is a summer camp for less privileged school-age inner city kids in the entire KC Metro area. The state line and county lines do not limit us. We get kids from everywhere.

I wanted you to see my granddaughter in her Baby Yoda Halloween costume. Cuteness, opportunity and hope for the future abounds. When she grows up she’ll be able to go to Wildwood, if that’s something she wants. Many kids don’t have that luxury. Those are the children that the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center serves.

I don’t like asking folks for money. But that’s what I’m doing. Anything you can give during this, the weirdest year ever, will go to scholarships to help send less fortunate urban children all over our great city to summer camp where they make forever friends and learn fun things outdoors.

Thanks for anything you can do. And, a Happy Holiday season to all.
