Wildwood Celebrates 30 years of
Laughter, Leadership and Learning . . .
In October of 2006, we had an outstanding turn out for the
Wildwood Outdoor Education Center's 25th Anniversary
despite the weather. Here are some of the photos taken during the
celebration.

Dream Come True
Kansas City philanthropist Marjorie Powell Allen wanted
to provide outdoor programs for children. In 1962,
she and Bob Allen purchased 150 acres near LaCygne,
Kansas to operate . . .

Wildwood is located about 30 minutes south of Overland
Park, Kansas at the southern edge of Miami County,
Kansas . . .

Wildwood Retreat Experience
A retreat
is a deliberate withdrawal from the stresses and
distractions of daily life designed to empower
groups and/or individuals. It gives the group
or individual an opportunity to get away from
the noises, pressures and hectic pace of one’s
daily life.
